Originally from the Bay Area, Nia has had a passion for music from a very young age. Participating in choirs starting in elementary school, taking private lessons, and going to an arts high school, she followed her dream of becoming a professional singer. She went on to study Opera Performance at The University of British Columbia, and graduated with a Masters in Music from The San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 2022.
While Nia has been pursuing a professional music career, she began working with children. It was while she was working at children’s theaters and performing arts centers that she found her passion for teaching music. Now she has taught a variety of group classes as well as private lessons and is looking forward to explore the world of teaching even more. She is now the teacher of Bird’s Early Bird class as well as teaching private students.
