We’re looking for the next great songwriter to record at Bird Records!
GRAND PRIZE:
One lucky winner will receive a FULL professional production of their song produced at Bird Records Studio. This includes arrangement support, professional recording, mixing, and a finished master — ready for release.
What Makes a Winning Song?
The Bird teaching staff will judge submissions based on:
- Strong melody
- Compelling lyrics
- Emotional impact
- Originality
- Song structure and musicality
We’re looking for something that could be the next summer hit — something memorable, authentic, and exciting.
Important Dates:
Submission Deadline: August 1, 2026
Winner Announced: August 15, 2026
This gives us time to fully produce the winning song and release it before summer.
Who Can Enter:
Open to all ages and experience levels. Whether you’re a beginner songwriter, a Bird student, or a seasoned musician — everyone is welcome.

- By submitting, you confirm the song is your original work and that you own all rights to the material.
- Bird Records retains no ownership of your song beyond the production agreement to be arranged with the winner.
- The winner must be available to collaborate on production within the agreed timeframe.
- The winner must reside in one of the nine Bay Area counties and be able to travel to Bird’s studio in San Francisco.
- Judging decisions are final.
