San Francisco native, Isabella (Izzy) Lopez, is a passionate performer and educator whose goal is to spread magic through music. Her musical journey began at the SF Girls Chorus in 2010. It was there that she discovered her love for classical music. With the guidance of her mentors, Rhoslyn Jones, Justin Montigne, and Valérie Sainte-Agathe, she began to build her performance and teaching resumes. While attending Ruth Asawa School of the Arts, she participated in the Youth Vocal Mentorship Program, where she taught voice lessons, acting classes, and music theory to children ages 4-13. In the summer of 2021, she returned to the SF Girls Chorus as an assistant vocal instructor.
In 2024, Izzy earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Vocal Performance from Oberlin Conservatory. Over the years, she has explored multiple genres, including musical theatre, jazz, and popular music. Upon returning to the Bay Area, she spent one year gaining teaching experience outside of music, working as a Registered Behavior Technician in private homes and school settings. Since then, she has remained devoted to providing inclusive, neurodiverse friendly, and stimulating musical instruction.
