I started my career working with children babysitting and giving music lessons to the neighborhood kids in my home state of New Jersey. When I migrated to San Francisco, I worked at Park and Recreation summer camps, specializing in film, video, and music making. I worked as an afterschool arts specialist at the JCCSF starting in 1992, I began rock ‘n’ roll camp in 2009, and became their full-time music specialist from then until 2019.
I have since instructed individuals and groups of all ages in guitar, bass, ukulele, drums, piano, singing and songwriting. My fascination for music came from reading about multi-track recording, so I was recording before I could play, which left me with many beautiful recordings of terrible performances! I got better, as it has remained a huge passion of mine. I’m a professional DJ, producer and multi- instrumentalist , and I maintain a small independent record label Pacific Soul Records. I work in the morning as a preschool teacher.
