Andre Bartalos

Born and raised in San Francisco, Andre began studying music at age 10. After starting on saxophone and clarinet, he switched to bassoon and began taking lessons at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music’s Pre-college Department. In high school, he also practiced at the Ruth Asawa School of the Arts and performed in the California Youth Symphony. He recently obtained his Bachelor of Music from the Bob Cole Conservatory at California State University of Long Beach, where he studied bassoon and piano with Michele Grego of the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

During his time at the Bob Cole Conservatory, Andre spent a year abroad studying in Germany at the Trossingen University of Music and has performed with orchestras and chamber ensembles across the United States, Sweden, Finland, Germany, and Romania. Andre has experience teaching students of all levels and ages, and loves sharing his passion for music while striving to make it as approachable and accessible as possible.
