A native of Santa Cruz, California, Amanda Jane Ross grew up surrounded by music of many varieties. At eight years old she fell in love with performing alongside her Grandpa in his Dixieland Band, which carried with her into college. In 2018, Amanda Jane won a DownBeat award for Best Solo Jazz Vocalist, and has since graduated The School for Music Vocations, where she studied both classical and jazz voice/piano. She is currently in her third year at The San Francisco Conservatory of Music, studying Roots Jazz and American Music. Amanda Jane continues to fall in love with music daily through performing and teaching in and around the Bay Area.
