Kate Lumsden
As a yoga teacher, Kate sees her work not only to teach for a deep understanding of the asana, but also
to help build a sense of community and increase awareness of the dynamics of the world in which we live.
She started practicing yoga asana in 1999 as treatment for the scoliosis in her spine. With an emphasis on
intelligent alignment, Kate fell in love with the Astanga Vinyasa practice and its interweaving of breath,
movement and meditation. Kate's own practice has found new depth with the Mysore style Ashtanga practice.
This self-led practice maintains a vigorous pace within an independent quiet that allows for close examination of
the present moment. Her passion for alignment and understanding the wisdom of the body encourages the student to
let go of ego and give rise to the truth of inner harmony and balance. The dynamic relationship between Kate and
her students is one that allows for individual attention, adjustments and modifications ensuring they receive
lessons to strengthen their individual practices within the support of the class.

while connecting in with the natural world. Her classes offer a rigorous blend of creative
sequences designed to warm and open the body while uplifting the spirit. She has been teaching
yoga throughout the Bay Area since 2001. Initially influenced by her Ashtanga roots, her teachers
also include Shiva Rea, Ana Forrest, Steph Snyder, and Rusty Wells. Dancing, singing, and acting
since she was young, Elizabeth brings a melodic blend of chanting and flute playing to her classes.
Come prepared to breathe, sweat and open.
KT Steadman
KT started teaching in 2001. After teaching and traveling extensively for four years, she landed in Hawaii,
where she connected with her teachers Nicki Doane & Eddie Modestini. Their teachings reflect the beauty of
the Krishnamacharaya lineage. In 2005 KT travelled to India with Nicki and Eddie to study with Sri K Pattabhi Jois.
KT has been touched beyond words by her Sanskrit teacher Bhavani Maki.
She views the knowledge within the Yoga Sutras as an important key for us all to truly live our practice.
She enjoys weaving this information into her classes. Her teaching style is born from her studies with
Nicki and Eddie, and from her own practice and experience. She gives information, and adjustments so that
students form a foundation based in impeccability of alignment. This ensures that people learn to move
their bodies in an integrated, and intelligent way. She has a warm and compassionate style.
