Happy New Year
Dear Musicians and Parents,
Eureka! The new year is here. We hope you had a great holiday break and got to spend some relaxing time with friends, family and maybe a few furry animals.
Discovery is such a cool thing in every facet of life. Sometimes you can run across something and not even know how cool it is until someone with a little or a lot of knowledge on the subject expounds on your discovery. When this is done with love and care of the subject matter much is to be gained.
With discovery comes knowledge. Mix a little knowledge with a little creativity and suddenly things might feel something like the lyrics to this pop-reggae tune written by Johnny Nash, a Texan who journeyed to Jamaica in 1968 and discovered a struggling local vocal group, The Wailers, and its members Bob Marley, Bunny Wailer and Peter Tosh:

We are forming bands NOW for our next session, Reggae & Rocksteady, which promises to be filled with many new discoveries in rhythm, feeling, harmony and powerfully uplifting lyrics.
Get Ready to Rocksteady!
Our first session of 2012 will feature reggae & rocksteady music. Returning student registration opened Jan. 9, new band registration begins Jan. 23. More info.
