Dear Parents,

On Sunday, November 7th,  27 bands stepped up on the big stage at the ValueAct Pavilion and performed the songs of the legendary Rolling Stones.  While times and the markers of time (the arts) roll on,  we are thankful for punk rock teen angst philosophers like Mick Jagger, William Shakespeare and others past, present and future who enlighten us all  by saying in their own way,  hey! this is where we are right now.   

Session II is underway.  The music of Michael and The Jackson 5 will surely challenge our young musicians.  The kids are learning to make their own charts and notating the rhythms of this artist who began wowing audiences when he was just 8 years old.  We look forward to seeing you at the show on January 23rd.  

The holidays are closely approaching.  Please review the breaks in our schedule noted below.    We wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving with your loved ones and friends.

Begins: November 8
Set List Gig #1: December 12 (at Bird)
Pre-Week: January 10-14
Tech Week: January 17-21
Performance: January 23

Thanksgiving Holiday: November 25-26
NOTE: We are open Nov. 22-24, but any rehearsals during the week of Thanksgiving Break are not included in the session fee and will require additional payment.
Holiday Break: December 18-January 2 (closed)
MLK Day: January 17 (open, tech week begins)

Set List Bands have been hard at work preparing for their showcase here at Bird on December 12th.

Holiday Recording Special
Back by popular demand!  Record a holiday song to send to friends and family, make a special gift, prepare your college audition package or use that Thanksgiving break time to work on your pet project.  $75/hour recording/mixing rate on weekends Nov. 13-Dec. 12, 2010 and Mon-Wed & Friday of Thanksgiving week.  More info here.

Preschool Music
We're accepting registrations now for our January session of Bird Feeder, a music and movement class for children ages 3-5 - tell your favorite preschooler!  Tuesdays 12:30pm, $30 drop in, $175 for 7-class pass.  Sign up now or more info here.
