Introducing BEAKS choral group
Hi all.  Session I is underway.  We look forward to welcoming everyone back this week and next to explore music that is RECENTLY RECORDED.

Introducing a new weekly choral group for girls
B.E.A.K.S. (Bird Ethereally Aural Kaleidoscopic Singers)

We are pleased to announce that beginning October 3, 2008 Bird will offer a weekly girls' choral group on Friday afternoons from 5:30-6:30 for qualified singers.  Please call or email to audition and include your age and experience.

Plus, we are beside ourselves with excitement to welcome "neo-vintage pop chanteuse/raconteur" Uni and her Ukulele to the Bird staff as the instructor for this group.  She will be here to guide the group as they pursue their performance dreams.  For more on Uni, see her MySpace page: www.myspace.com/uniherukelele

Dates:  10/3, 10/10, 10/17, 10/24 (to return with new schedule in December as Uni will be touring New Zealand and Australia in November)

Open Mic Night
October 15th, 7:30pm
The 3rd Wednesday of every month Bird staff will host an open mic for students and newcomers who wish to share their musical gifts with others who are wishing to share their musical gifts. This is an hour-long event with slots for up to 10 solo or duo performances. Works in progress are encouraged. Performance order is decided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Rent-A-Rehearsal
Rent a regular, after-hours (7pm and later) rehearsal space at Bird to stretch out your talent. Call 441-3551 to schedule.

Illy Bogart Concert
October 19th, 5:00pm
