Dear Musicians and Friends,

We're excited to be back in full gear after our Session II Motown extravaganza that took place at the Valueact Pavillion on February 11. The set list began with a very contemporary version of Ball of Confusion and moved forward with a smattering of The Supremes, Little Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye.

Now we're digging into the catalogue of Elton John and Bernie Taupin.  (Speaking of which, see our important note below about auditions for the upcoming Bird/ACT production featuring the music of Elton John.) While some might caution about living in the past, it's quite amazing to indulge the nostalgia instinct when it allows us to share Rock and Roll's short history with today's instant access/media inundated musicians. Who knew that Elton John was prolific beyond Rocket Man and The Lion King? The bar has been raised again and we expect that each of these budding artists will be challenged and motivated by the material, the prominent piano and of course, the tales of flamboyant showmanship.

Thank you for all your continued support and enthusiasm. Our bands have not only grown musically but also in number. We are thrilled to welcome two new instructors to the studio who will bring their unique talents to the mix and help to keep things just this side of chaos.
