Live concerts & recording sessions at Bird
We're introducing our new teacher, Tony Peebles, with a concert by his band, Illy Bogart. What is Illy Bogart?
Take one saxophonist/foot bassist plus one drummer/sampler, and you've got original music infused with the sounds
of jazz, funk, soul and hip hop. Multi-instrumentalists Carl Barone (drums, percussion, sample pad)
and Tony Peebles (saxophone, effects, foot-pedal bass) do the work, and create the sound, of four
or more separate musicians, completely live with no looping or extended samples. It simply has to
be seen (and heard)!
Attendance is limited to 44 people, so get your tickets now for this amazing event. Tickets are available on
a sliding scale; the band gets their recording plus any door over the recording fee, so the more you donate,
the more you help the band. Come check it out!
