NOTE: time change
Complete with charts, live performance and handouts, Bird instructor
Tony Peebles explains how to understand, write out and
perform every chord symbol you'll ever see in jazz, rock or R&B sheet music. With the simple tools
you'll gain from this workshop, you'll be able to play the chords of any song, and know the good
notes to play when improvising.
You'll learn how to read chord symbols or "changes" and build chords of all types, based on the
four different types of triads: Major, Minor, Augmented and Diminished. You'll also learn how to
write and identify key signatures, building triads, adding "7ths" and "chord extensions": 9ths, 11ths
and 13ths, and "alterations" to make chords much more interesting and beautiful.
